You'll work split shifts, accompanying the student on their daily bus rides, providing attentive monitoring and reassurance-even though seizures are rare, your presence brings peace of mind.

Key Details:

• Transportation nurse for a single student (RN required for this assignment)
• Focus on monitoring for seizure symptoms; student has infrequent episodes
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Split shifts: 6:45-8:45 AM & 12:45-3:45 PM
• Bus riding only, providing care while in transit
• Hourly pay between $37-$40 for RNs

Desired Experience &

Skills:

• Active RN license in New York State (LPN/LVN may be considered for substitute roles)
• School health or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations and follow care plans
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with school staff, parents, and transportation personnel
• Compassion, reliability, and a student-centered approach

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support student during transit to and from school
• Recognize early signs or symptoms related to seizure disorder
