Test Technician
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Technician in Niagara Falls, New York for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will perform setup, execution, documentation, troubleshooting, and final validation testing of accelerometers and related hardware. The technician will conduct rate-table and vibration testing, maintain detailed test records, and work closely with engineering and production personnel to resolve test issues and prepare completed products for delivery.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of test technician experience.
- Hands-on hardware testing experience.
- Experience setting up and executing production or engineering test procedures.
- Ability to accurately document test results, faults, anomalies, and daily process activity.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain testing from setup through completion.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production personnel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person for export-control purposes.
- Technical degree in electronics or a related discipline.
- IPC J-STD-001 certification.
- Experience in production, test, electronics, or related manufacturing environments.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems using a digital multimeter.
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and mitigation practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
- Prepare documentation and test fixtures required for accelerometer testing.
- Set up, initiate, monitor, and complete test operations.
- Perform rate-table and vibration testing.
- Conduct final product testing using customer equipment prior to delivery.
- Maintain detailed daily test logs and document faults, anomalies, and test results.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering and production management on testing strategies and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical test issues.
- Remove completed products from test fixtures and perform cleaning and other finalization activities.
- Prepare products for final inspection by validating paperwork and database routing.
- Support other production activities during periods when active test monitoring is not required.
- $24.00 per hour.
