Electric Maintenance Technician
Our customer operates a major manufacturing plant in a fast-paced, industrial production setting. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability of key equipment, electrical systems, and automation systems to maintain safe and efficient operations.
The Electric Maintenance Technician conducts both scheduled and unscheduled electrical maintenance to support equipment within the facility, including automation systems and electrical distribution. This role involves hands-on work with high-speed production machinery, troubleshooting controls and instruments, repairing electro-mechanical systems, and maintaining electrical systems up to 4160V. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in industrial electrical maintenance, the ability to interpret drawings and schematics, and be comfortable working a rotating 12-hour schedule.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment, electrical systems, and related machinery
- Maintain automation equipment, tools, and machinery to specified standards
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and distribution systems up to 4160V
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and HMIs
- Utilize electrical testing equipment such as multi-meters, thermal imaging cameras, and meggers
- Repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits
- Troubleshoot control loops and motor controls including magnetic and electronic controls
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain clean work areas
- At least 3 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a large-scale industrial environment
- Solid understanding of AC and DC controls
- Experience with VSDs and VFDs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings
- Familiarity with instrumentation like pressure transmitters and RTDs
- Preferred experience with SAP, Siemens PCS-7 (or similar), and Profibus communication protocol
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Schedule/Hours: Day shifts for 3-4 days one week (7:00am–7:00pm) followed by night shifts the next week (7:00pm–7:00am) on a rotating schedule. Training will occur during day shifts.
