What You'll Do
The Receiving Clerk
- Storekeeper is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming shipments and materials. This role ensures that all deliveries meet quality standards and are properly documented, labeled, and stored according to company procedures and safety standards. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with Maintenance Manager to maintain material flow and accuracy within the facility.
- Unload and load trucks, transfers materials to proper storage areas.
- Notifies requisitioner of receipt of material.
- Orders all materials required to maintain inventory levels.
- Determines suitability of substitutions regarding maintenance items.
- Receives telephone, radio and buzzer (window) requests for materials.
- Writes requisitions and purchase orders, prepares system contracts forms and files for follow-up.
- Responsible for monthly inventory in all storage areas.
- Maintains stock cards, purchase order copies, system contract copies and receipts indicating all activities.
- Responsible for issuing and delivering proper materials for all trades, garage mechanics, planners, forepersons, and engineers.
- Assembles and delivers materials to job sites, maintains level of materials required in work areas.
- Must get signatures for all materials delivered or handed out for both maintenance and production.

- Have a "Safety First" mindset. Maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards.
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Possess strong attention to detail.
- Be willing and excited to learn about mechanical systems and repairs.
- Enjoy troubleshooting and repairing machinery
- Be able to work in a physical environment
- Work well in a team environment
- Have good communication, writing, and reading skills
