Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Fulfill contractual obligations for a full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
* Provide excellence in instruction within the English, Communications, and Social Science Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
* Assist in the development and evaluation of the curriculum as appropriate.
* Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
* Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
* Provide student guidance and support.
* Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Chair of the English, Communications, and Social Sciences, the Dean of Arts and Sciences, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
* Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Requirements:
* Minimum of a master's degree in English or a master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in English.
* Proficiency with teaching technologies, including lecture-capture software.
* Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* An earned doctorate in English or a related field with 18 graduate hours in English.
* Post-secondary teaching experience.
* Demonstrated success with online teaching.
All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
