Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a dedicated mechanical engineering team in Niceville. This role is ideal for someone with experience in rapid prototyping, in Department of Defense (DOD) projects, and a keen eye for design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Develop models from concept design and design mounts, enclosures for electronics, considering g-shock and vibration.
• Create 3D parts for proof of concept and then machine the part for the final application.
• Design with variable tolerances depending on the application.
• Engage in research and development, focusing on prototyping and design for manufacturability.

Essential

Skills:

• Experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Creo and Solid Works.
• Knowledge of missile airframe design and 3D modeling.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping and machining parts.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Over 6 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience with DOD projects.
• Capability to oversee a mechanical design team.
• Experience with design for manufacturability.

Work Environment:

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
