Job SummaryAs an Extension Assistant for 4-H Youth Development, you will provide administrative support to the 4-H Youth Development program area and the 4-H Youth Development County Agent(s). You will report to an Extension Agent and interact frequently with the general public. Expected responsibilities include program support, teaching, recruitment & marketing, record keeping, budgeting in Quickbooks, promoting and organizing new 4-H clubs, recruiting members and volunteer leaders, providing support and guidance to existing clubs, recruiting volunteers for events and activities, and serving all clientele.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the 4-H Youth Development program area and County Agent(s).
- Maintain budget files using Quickbooks.
- Promote and organize new 4-H clubs.
- Recruit members and volunteer leaders.
- Provide support and guidance to existing 4-H clubs.
- Recruit and work with volunteers in conducting events and activities such as group projects, 4-H achievement events, and public presentation programs.
- Serve all clientele.
- Assist with program support, teaching, recruitment, marketing, and record keeping.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Office 365, Teams, Skype for Business).
- Experience with Zoom and Quickbooks.
- Driver’s license.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- State law requires a national and state criminal background check.
- Clearing letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to confirm no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect.
- Ability to travel within the county and work extended hours as needed.
- Physical capability to handle objects up to 50 lbs.
