The 4-H Educator is a full-time, on-site role located in Portage County, OH. This position is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating educational programs that support positive youth development through 4-H clubs, school enrichment, and community-based initiatives. The educator collaborates with volunteers, community partners, and colleagues to organize activities, events, and trainings, and to ensure program quality and alignment with university and Extension goals.

Daily responsibilities include supporting and advising 4-H youth and adult volunteers, developing curricula and resources, managing program records and communications, and promoting 4-H participation throughout the county. The role also requires occasional evening and weekend work to accommodate youth programs, meetings, and special events.

• Experience in youth development, education, or related fields, with the ability to design and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Strong skills in program planning, coordination, and evaluation, including organizing events and activities for diverse audiences.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with youth, families, volunteers, and community partners.
• Organizational and administrative abilities, including maintaining records, managing multiple projects, and using digital tools for communication.
• Understanding of or interest in 4-H, Extension education, and community outreach; experience with agriculture, STEM, or leadership programs is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, agriculture, social sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Portage County, OH, with flexibility for evening and weekend activities; valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
