Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications- Completion of UGA’s Academic Advising Certificate Program preferred
- Experience working with SAGE, Degree works, Athena, and other advising software utilized by the University of Georgia/ USG institutions
This Academic Advisor III position within UGA’s College of Engineering supports incoming and current Engineering undergraduate students in their academic pursuits. The Academic Advisor III position:
- Effectively facilities advising sessions by engaging students holistically and inviting students into the advising process.
- Develops and evaluates strategies for enhancing rapport with students and campus partners.
- Deeply understands, communicates, and explains requirements, policies, procedures, and the use of student-facing technologies (Degree Works, SAGE, Athena, etc.)
