Job Description
Position will be responsible for design and release engineering of bumper, grille, fascia and trim components. This may include upfront design and development and/or program launch/current product continuous improvement execution.
Responsibilities- Managing design and development of components and working cross functionally with multiple other teams (studio/program team/purchasing/supplier quality/supplier/manufacturing/etc.).
- Owning and managing parts list, working to meet all development milestones on time and with quality.
- Leading root cause analysis and problem resolution of issues that range from warranty to assembly plant issues.
- Leading a Product Development Team (PDT) to drive issue resolution, quality improvement, cost reduction and design optimization.
Education requirement - Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related technical field.
Years of experience - 2-4 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, Visio etc.
- OEM system experience preferred, not required.
- Automotive experience is always a plus.
