Job Description
At Quality Electrodynamics (QED), we develop and manufacture medical imaging devices and supporting solutions to assist medical professionals worldwide detect, diagnose, and treat illnesses. Our products make a difference in the lives of patients on a daily basis. QED relies on its IT systems to facilitate most aspects of our business, enabling efficient product delivery and customer support. The IT Department provides critical solutions and support to our Operations, Regulatory and Quality, Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams.
We are currently in need of a dynamic, collaborative individual with a proven track record of leading both people and technology in order to provide functional and technical management of QED’s IT systems: both software and business solutions, and infrastructure. In addition to ERP management, with some minor exceptions, this position is directly or indirectly accountable for all company IT systems, applications reporting and other bolt‑on or custom‑developed business applications;
administration and maintenance of servers and networks; data, network, and application security; endpoint hardware; and management of external service providers.
A qualified candidate will have:
- 5+ years of IT leadership and Application Management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus), SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience leading a team of IT professionals responsible for the design, management, and development of IT business application solutions
- The ability to scope, design, and lead significant IT system and application maintenance or development projects as part of a team
- The ability to leverage and manage external resources to ensure that servers, networks, and other infrastructure resources are reliable, secure, and aligned with the current and future needs of the business
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Results‑oriented, cross‑departmental leadership skills capable of bringing colleagues together to accomplish business goals
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility, combined with a highly developed level of ethical and professional integrity
