Order Planner – Onsite Shelby, OH, USA
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate the distribution and shipping of products to customers in an efficient and cost‑effective manner, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Release customer orders.
- Plan shipments based on order due dates and customer expectations.
- Track on‑time shipment and fill‑rate performance on customer orders.
- Prepare metric reports to show performance versus goals and report to management.
- Create countermeasures to address areas preventing goal achievement.
- Manage backorders to ensure timely shipment.
- Liaise between the MTD sales team and Operations for order information and part availability.
- Provide feedback to customers on part shipments and order status/tracking.
- Consolidate shipments when available to reduce freight costs.
- Perform daily 6S activities (housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and completing appropriate paperwork/check‑lists).
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four‑year college, or one or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to problem‑solve and determine root cause.
- Good organizational skills.
- Continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
- Intermediate PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Power BI.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work, contribute, and succeed in a team environment.
- Must be able to work in an office environment.

The salary range for this position is $45,700.00 - $73,600.00.
