Position Overview

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to pregnant patients experiencing high-risk medical conditions, complex pregnancies, and fetal complications. Working collaboratively with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, obstetricians, sonographers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team, the MFM Registered Nurse supports comprehensive assessment, monitoring, treatment, and coordination of care throughout pregnancy. The MFM Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing maternal and fetal well-being, monitoring patients through diagnostic and specialized testing, assisting with procedures, providing patient and family education, and facilitating timely communication and follow-up.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to support patients and families navigating complex or high-risk pregnancies. The MFM Registered Nurse serves as an integral member of the MFM team, promoting safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while ensuring continuity and coordination across the prenatal care continuum.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Associates degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • NJ RN License required.
  • Must begin process of obtaining a PA RN license within 90 days of start.
  • Experience:

    One year experience in an acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
  • Other Credentials: AHA BLS
    - Healthcare Provider.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
