Job Title:Quality Inspector
Location:Nicholasville, KY
Shifts:1st shift Monday through Thursday 7:30am - 5:30pm Overtime as needed on Fridays
Pay Rate:$16.00 to $18.00 based on experience
We're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you'll inspect circuit boards and completed assemblies, perform incoming material inspections, maintain calibrated inspection equipment, and accurately collect and enter quality data. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as you'll work closely with team members to communicate quality information and help maintain high standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Whatyou'll do:
- Approve First Piece, In-Process, and Final Quality Inspections on circuit boards and completed assemblies.
- Perform incoming material inspections to verify materials meet established quality requirements.
- Handle and maintain calibrated inspection and measurement equipment.
- Collect and enter inspection data into company databases.
- Interpret and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and dimensional drawings.
- Identify and communicate quality issues to appropriate team members.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Help ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.
- Communicate quality information verbally and electronically with production and other team members.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment may include exposure to moving parts and vibration.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
- Assist with additional quality-related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Must comply with client's substance abuse and background policy
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic understanding of quality concepts.
- Basic Microsoft Office/computer skills.
- 2-3 years of experience in an electronics assembly or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with PCB assembly, inspection, soldering, or similar electronics manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly and dimensional drawings preferred.
- IPC-A-610 certification/experience (CIS) preferred.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or TS 16949 preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Valid Drivers License
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
- 1 year of previous shipping and receiving experience
- 1 year of previous forklift experience
- Basic Computer and keyboard skills
- Stable work history in the last 7 - 10 years
- Experience using inventory management or ERP software preferred.
- Temp to Hire position based upon work ethics and attendance
