Lock Net will work with the corporate office and general contractors to ensure competitive pricing on quality products designed for high-traffic location.
Lock Net is seeking a Door Production Welder to help with various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, on-site production role based at Lock Net's Nicholasville, KY manufacturing facility.
What You'll Do- Welding door frames and door units together to meet industry standards.
- Preparing doors, door frames, and door units for assembly through cutting in strike preps, drilling holes for fasteners, adding anchors in door frames, and spraying metal doors with primer.
- Interpreting mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism.
- Pulling own parts to complete assigned jobs, using a forklift as necessary.
- Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Prioritizing a constantly changing work load through an internal materials management software.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
- Exhibit knowledge and proficiencies of assigned welding techniques. (Welding certification not required)
- Prioritize and manage time effectively to complete each assigned job.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work both independently and within a team-based environment.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and MSDS standards, including proper footwear, eyewear, headwear, body protection, hearing protection.
- Demonstrate discretion and trust with confidential material.
