Job Description
Job Purpose:
Install and troubleshoot network data infrastructure, copper and fiber optic data cabling and hardware.
- Pulling Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a copper cabling through drop ceilings, crawl spaces, warehouse environments and industrial facilities.
- Pulling OM3/OM4 fiber optic cabling through drop ceilings, crawl spaces, warehouse environments and industrial facilities.
- Terminating and testing copper and fiber cabling.
- Grounding and bonding data racks and network elements.
- MDF/IDF build outs, cabinet mounting and pathway installations.
- Ability to comprehend blue prints/floor plans for data installations.
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs individually.
- Must be able to perform work on aerial platform/scissor lifts up to 50-60ft high.
- Must be able to perform work on ladders for extended periods of time.
- Datacom/telecom hand tools (eg. punch down, cable shears, lineman pliers) provided by company.
