- Develop, enhance, and maintain IBM i (AS/400) business-critical applications using SQLRPGLE (RPGLE with embedded SQL).
- Write, modify, and optimize complex embedded SQL statements and advanced SQL queries within RPG programs.
- Process and handle JSON data for APIs, integrations, and data interchange within RPGLE/SQLRPGLE applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing SQLRPGLE and RPGLE code to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Participate in full software development lifecycle: analyze requirements, design solutions, develop code, and perform testing.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and user-driven improvements to existing iSeries applications.
- Integrate new features and fixes into production systems, ensuring system stability and high code quality.
- Collaborate with team members to modernize legacy systems and implement best practices in RPG and SQL development.
- Utilize advanced RPG IV, RPGLE (Free-format), ILE concepts, service programs, modules, and binding directories.
- Support system integrations and business logic implementation using embedded SQL and JSON tools.
- Work full-time, on-site in East Liberty, Ohio, with an opportunity for contract extension or permanent placement based on performance.
