Regional Business Manager Service

International Sales Manager Service  Alfa Laval Nijmegen B.V. is a market leader in gas treatment systems and services. We develop, sell, and produce equipment for the maritime industry, to support customers in meeting current and future needs in emission reduction and safety. Our Service team has a strong global presence through multiple service‑and distribution centres. As a service organization we are customer focused, act as a reliable partner and ensure care‑free operation at predictable costs, by offering an extensive service portfolio.
Responsibilities   Direct sales of parts/service systems to ship owners and shipyards directly or through local sales representatives (Sales Champions) in their respective regions.
Meet with customers, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships.
Prepare daily sales reports, showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed customer base expansion.
Generate and follow up on sales leads.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Create MPS portfolio and marketing material.
Conduct sales forecast activities and set performance goals accordingly.
Review market analyses to determine customer needs.
Represent the company at trade fairs to promote product.
Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of competitors and the market as input for product development.
Qualifications   Technical Bachelor or Master degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng).
Ability to convince customers and select them by asking the right questions.
Customer‑oriented, good at building and maintaining business relations.
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
At least 3 years of experience in international selling of capital goods.
Experience in the maritime industry is an advantage.
Flexible response to customer needs.
Willing to travel internationally (30‑50% travelling of working time).
