Responsibilities- Assemble equipment or subassemblies, including assembly, wiring, brazing, soldering, taping, insulating, testing, cleaning, polishing, refrigerant charging/recovery, packaging, and running machinery.
- Read work orders and follow production drawings, work instructions, sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties.
- Clean and inspect parts and disassemble returned units as required.
- Follow quality and safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Assist in all other areas within and outside the primary assigned production cell.
- High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience (1–2 years).
- Good reading, comprehension, written and verbal English skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to work with small and large hand tools, both manual and power-driven.
- Availability to work full-time 40 hours per week, approximately Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.
- Good work ethic and attendance record.
- Capability to stand/walk continuously throughout an 8‑hour shift.
- Ability to lift 35–50 pounds continuously.

- 8.5 hrs/day, 2–15 minute breaks, 1/2 hour lunch
Pallet jack, bench tools: hammer, needle nose pliers, wrench, pinch pliers, wire cutters, rivet gun, torch, air gun, etc. Employer provides anti‑fatigue mats. Supplies are kept in close proximity to workstation to reduce unnecessary walking.
Working Conditions- Working at heights (ladders used to retrieve supplies from shelving)
- Working around moving machines: forklifts, conveyor belt
- Protective equipment required (eyewear, steel toe or composite toe footwear, etc.)
- Acceptable visual acuity (binocular visual acuity (both eyes) of at least 20/40 with or without corrective eyewear)*
- Depth perception required
- Color perception required (wiring and color coded labels)
- Acceptable field of vision (normal visual field measuring 90° temporally to central fixation, 50° superiorly and nasally, and 60° inferiorly)*
- Acceptability as defined by the Illinois Vision Standard for obtaining a driver's license.

Fine finger manipulation/finger dexterity to place bolts and washers is performed occasionally and for very brief periods of time.
