Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Citadel Healthcare
Citadel At Saint Benedict is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team. The CNA assists patients/residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, and exercising under the supervision of a nurse.
Base Pay Range$18.00/hr – $27.00/hr
Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or CNA Supervisor, work closely with the nursing staff to ensure coordination of patient care.
- Provide physical support for patients’ daily activities and personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
- Ensure proper diet based on dietary restrictions.
- Measure and record food and liquid intake.
- Examine patients for wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Note and communicate patient behavior and changes in mood.
- Gather medical supplies.
- Clean rooms and bed linens.
- Check and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Answer patient calls and address needs.
- Assist patients being transported to and from appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills with nursing staff.
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Meet all health requirements as required by law.
- Ability to relate positively and appropriately with residents, families, and other facility staff.
- Basic computer knowledge and aptitude for learning company applications.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
- Current CPR certificate or become certified within 90 days of employment (preferred).
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling. Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and move/carry that weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
- Understand and adhere to safety standards and protocols.
- May be required to assist in evacuations during emergencies.
