Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Citadel Healthcare

Citadel At Saint Benedict is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team. The CNA assists patients/residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, and exercising under the supervision of a nurse.

$18.00/hr – $27.00/hr

• Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or CNA Supervisor, work closely with the nursing staff to ensure coordination of patient care.
• Provide physical support for patients’ daily activities and personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
• Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
• Ensure proper diet based on dietary restrictions.
• Measure and record food and liquid intake.
• Examine patients for wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
• Note and communicate patient behavior and changes in mood.
• Gather medical supplies.
• Clean rooms and bed linens.
• Check and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Answer patient calls and address needs.
• Assist patients being transported to and from appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Good collaboration and teamwork skills with nursing staff.
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Meet all health requirements as required by law.
• Ability to relate positively and appropriately with residents, families, and other facility staff.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude for learning company applications.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification.
• Current CPR certificate or become certified within 90 days of employment (preferred).

• Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling. Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and move/carry that weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• Understand and adhere to safety standards and protocols.
• May be required to assist in evacuations during emergencies.
