Job Description & How to Apply Below
A Day in the Life You start by reviewing line start-ups, validating changeovers, and confirming equipment hygiene with ATP and environmental swabs. As production ramps, you move station to station performing in-process inspections, verifying labels and code dates, spot-checking weights, and reviewing metal detection logs. You’ll run scale checks, audit metal detectors, and complete allergen controls while scanning for hazards like glass, brittle plastics, and stray magnets.
If you spot a risk, you quarantine materials, initiate maintenance work requests, and escalate serious concerns—up to and including stopping a line. Throughout the night, you track GMP compliance, document findings, prepare and catalog retains, replenish QA supplies, and mentor newer QA team members. Before you wrap, you finalize paperwork and internal audit notes so the next shift has a clean handoff.
What You’ll Tackle Oversee food safety, product quality, and GMP adherence on the plant floor.
Complete in-process quality checks on production lines every shift.
Verify paperwork, retain samples, lot/date codes, label accuracy, net weights, and metal detection records.
Conduct scale verifications and metal detector audits.
Quarantine materials when quality or safety issues arise.
Validate changeovers; perform equipment ATP and environmental swabbing.
Execute allergen controls and audits for glass, brittle plastic, magnets, and metal detection.

Monitor/report GMP compliance and complete internal plant audits with accurate documentation.

Escalate critical food safety concerns and, when necessary, shut down production.
Support additional QA tasks as assigned.
What You Bring High school diploma (required); college coursework a plus.
1+ year of QA/QC or operations experience in food manufacturing.
Comfort with basic math, strong organization/time management, and sharp attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; reliable, safety-minded, and collaborative.
Pay, Schedule, and Perks $21/hr starting wage.
Full-time, third-shift schedule with weekly part of a quality-driven food manufacturing team with growth potential in QA.
