Community Based Instruction and Vocational Training Immediate Supervisor:
Building Principal and Special Education Director
Salary:
Determined By Collective Bargaining Agreement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with approval to teach students with cognitive impairments, emotional impairments, learning disabilities, or autism
- Meet the highly qualified standards set forth by the State of Michigan
Performance Responsibilities (non-prioritized):
- Assist students in acquiring soft skills for general employability
- Assist students in acquiring the hard skills necessary for various vocational sites
- Display the ability to build a social capital throughout the community in order to obtain job sites
- Develop and maintain community job sites for the program
- Design and implement job training plans for each site used
- Design and implement community based instruction activities
