Niles Community Schools is looking for a dynamic Health Teacher. Highly effective communication skills and professionalism are required for daily interaction with a diverse workforce, student population, building administration, and community. This position covers Niles High School, Eastside Connections, and Ring Lardner Middle School.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified to teach Sex Education and HIV in the State of Michigan.

Essential Duties (non-prioritized):

• Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students on the subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning methods
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction and varied teaching methods to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
• Other duties as assigned
