Quarry Operator

This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance.

• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
• Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, health and safety are the first priority.
• Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHS.
• Communicate effectively and timely with staff.
• Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all times.
• Train and coach other employees when needed.
• Perform other duties as time permits or as assigned.

• Previous surface mining experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English).
• Welding, cutting, and mechanical skills are desired.
• Haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
