** C&S Machine is hiring a Toolmaker to support production by designing, building, repairing, and improving tooling and fixtures used throughout our manufacturing operations.
** In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining efficient production processes, troubleshooting tooling issues, supporting Engineering projects, and ensuring quality standards are met.

* What you’ll do:

*** Design, build, and improve production tooling and fixtures
* Perform tooling, fixture, and equipment repairs as needed
* Support process improvements throughout the manufacturing floor
* Create sample parts and assist Engineering with production development
* Train and support apprentices and machine operators
* Operate and maintain tool room equipment
* Perform First Article Inspections and verify process changes
* Monitor part quality and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
* Step into machine operation responsibilities when needed

* What we're looking for:

*** Strong machining background and hands-on manufacturing experience
* Ability to read and interpret machining manuals and technical documents
* Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and machining theory
* Experience using precision measuring equipment
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

* Previous experience in machining or a similar hands-on role preferred
* Understanding of tooling, setups, and production processes
* Ability to read and follow work instructions, travelers, and setup sheets
* Strong attention to detail and organization skills
* Ability to use basic measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, etc.)
* Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple team members
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay ahead of production needs
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
