Security Officer Patrol Monitor

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Niles, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.

* Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site guidelines.

* Support loss prevention and store operations by assisting with security-related presence, directing foot traffic, and responding to calls for service in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
