Position: Long-Term Substitute Language Arts Teacher -- Lordstown Local Schools
POSITION:

* Long Term Substitute
- English Language Arts (Grades 11 & 12)

WORK SITE:

* Lordstown High School

DURATION:

* February 2026
- March 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Valid state teaching license or substitute teaching license (required).

* Strong background in English Language Arts, literature, and writing instruction.

* Effective communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

* Ability to build positive relationships with high school students.

DUTIES:

* Deliver instruction aligned to district curriculum and state standards.

* Teach core ELA content including literature analysis, college-level writing, research skills, and vocabulary development.

* Facilitate engaging lessons for whole-group, small-group, and individual learners.

* Maintain accurate attendance, assignments, and grading records.

* Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work.

* Communicate professionally with students, families, and colleagues.

* Support a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.

* Collaborate with ELA department staff as needed.
