The Lunch and Recess Aideisanessentialroleinensuringasafeandenjoyableenvironmentforstudents during lunch and recess. This position involves monitoring student activities, promoting positivebehavior, and supporting the overall well-being of children during meal and playtime.

• Overseestudentbehaviorduringlunchandrecesstomaintainasafe,respectful,andpositiveatmosphere.
• Supporttheservingofmeals,includinghelpingstudentswithfoodchoices,maintaining the cleanliness of meal areas, and ensuring proper portion sizes.
• Assistinkeepingthelunchroomandplaygroundareascleanandorganizedbymanagingwaste disposal and ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Encourageactiveplayduringrecess,ensuringthatstudentsengagein safe and inclusive activities while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship.
• Assiststudentsandfosterpositiveinteractionsamongpeerstosupportsocialdevelopment.
• Buildrapportwithstudents,addressinganyquestionsorconcernstheymayhave,and communicating effectively with school staff regarding any issues that arise.
• Workincollaborationwithteachers,cafeteria staff,andothersupervisorstoensureseamless transitions between lunch and recess activities.

• Ahighschooldiplomaorequivalentandanassociate'sdegreeorhigher in education or a related field are preferred.
• Experienceworkingwithchildreninaneducationalsettingispreferred.
• Abilitytoworkcollaborativelyaspartofa team.
• Patience,empathy,andapassionforhelpingstudentssucceed.

• Experiencewithclassroommanagementanddifferentiatedinstruction.

• Abilitytostand,walk,andengagewithstudentsandstaffforextendedperiods.

• The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
