BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our expanding Maintenance Department. The company specializes in aluminum hydraulic extrusions and operates five extrusion presses.

• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities of the technicians on the shift.
• Train new technicians to ensure skill evaluation and continued improvement.
• Perform and demonstrate repairs, enabling others to work autonomously.
• Train less experienced technicians in aluminum hydraulic extrusions, maintaining/running presses, preventive maintenance process and scheduling, scheduled downtime repair prep & planning, ensuring all technicians know machines.
• Recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions or improve safety, quality, or equipment operating parameters.
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot machinery, electrical systems up to 480V, 3‑phase.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase shop, department, or crew efficiency.
• Interpret company policies; enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Conduct safety training for crew on shift as needed; ensure compliance with company policies, plant rules, and regulations.

• At least 1 year manufacturing/maintenance supervisory experience.
• 2 years of maintenance manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts with varying schedule (e.g., 2 days on, 2 days off).
• Training and experience with PLCs is a plus.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers.
• Ability to analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in problem solving.
• Willingness to participate in required job and employment‑related trainings, including safety, technical, role, or tool‑specific trainings.

This position requires working in a factory/manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations and high noise levels. The employee must walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, and climb frequently. Must be able to lift 50lb. frequently and up to 75lb. occasionally. Must be aware of movement and/or noises around them at all times. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to read and follow written procedures in English.
