Mechanical Assembler reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment, in an industrial setting. The position works under some supervision and limited contact with external suppliers or customers.
What you will be doing...- Clean, assemble and inspect parts per applicable work instructions.
- Communicate information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions etc.
- Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manufacture/inspect production parts using welding processes and procedures.
- Basic assessment of weld parameter inputs and make adjustments during welding.
- Identify nonconforming material according to procedures.
- Keeps work area clean and organized, and maintains safety in manufacturing areas.
- Promotes teamwork within the organization.
- Performs Mechanical Assembler or other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Less than 2 years of related experience required
- Competency Testing:
Must be able to pass appropriate welder competency testing and requirements. - Attention to Detail:
The basic ability to accomplish a task for all the areas involved, including the ability to notice minor inconsistencies /faults in parts. - Currency with Technology:
Basic knowledge of current welding technologies. The ability to use computer and web-based systems to input, access, modify or output information. - Communication
Skills:
Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine, factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area. - Strong Work Ethic:
The ability and willingness to demonstrate enthusiasm, eagerness, and optimism for work activities. This includes the ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities, to learn and understand company policies and procedures. - Ability to Work Within Safety Guidelines:
Basic knowledge of and the ability to adhere to department safety rules regarding eye and eye protection, personal protection, hazard labeling, MSDS sheets, evacuation procedures, and emergency phone numbers. - Teamwork:
The ability interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team. - Mathematical Ability:
Basic ability to perform simple arithmetic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages. - Multi-Tasking:
Basic ability to process multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to follow work orders efficiently. - Visual Acuity:
