Production Worker

As a Production Worker at Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Niles, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line and maintaining safety standards. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the manufacturing process while promoting a safe and productive workplace.

• Operate hand and/or power equipment – Ensures proper operation and maintenance of machinery to meet production standards.
• Run machinery – Controls various types of equipment to ensure smooth production processes.
• Handle materials – Responsible for moving raw materials to designated areas to keep production running smoothly.
• Ensure safety procedures – Follows all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Operate mobile equipment – Uses forklift or other mobile equipment for material handling.
• Use packing and banding equipment – Efficiently operates packing and banding machines to prepare products for shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned – Supports team efforts by completing any other tasks requested by management.

• 1+ years of industrial experience – Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required – A minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude – Proven ability to work with machines and understand basic mechanical functions.
• Attention to detail and dependability – Strong focus on quality and reliability.
• Ability to work shift work – Flexible to work various shifts as required by the job.
• Ability to work overtime – Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet production demands.
• Pass drug/physical/background check – Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test and background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the US – Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Safety-conscious – Ability to lead and promote health and safety practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to walk or stand at least 80% of the shift.
