Job Details:
Niles, OH – RN (BSN) – NURSE – PART TIME – CLINICAL NURSING INSTRUCTORS
Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is a growing non‑profit nursing school. This instructor will teach clinical/labs in person at the campus and clinic sites, 2–3 days a week Monday–Friday. Daytime hours and part‑time, month‑to‑month scheduling. We will provide complete training in our curriculum and standards to ensure you are fully prepared for your new teaching role. Experienced mentors will help you get started.
Responsibilities- Teach clinicals/labs Part Time 2–3 days a week in person at the campus and clinic sites.
- Instruct students in the Ross curriculum, review lesson plans, and prepare for class instruction.
- Grade and electronically record assignments.
- Actively promote student retention and support externship activities as applicable.
- Accurately record grades, successful completion of proficiencies, and attendance in campus management software.
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher.
- Experience with precepting preferred.
- Experience with Pediatric/Obstetrics preferred.
- Two or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
- Daytime availability.
- Must be able to teach at campus and off‑site clinicals.
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
- Knowledge of materials that will be taught and ability to use and communicate the Ross curriculum.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use whiteboard, and use classroom equipment.
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records (e.g., Microsoft, Campus Vue, Brightspace).
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames.
- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct as a representative of Ross.
- Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred.
