Flex Truck Driver - Class A Hazmat

Job Summary

• Average $110,000 annually
• Includes $55 per diem when laying over
• Travel required, up to 100%

• Travel regionally to work at various locations as needed.
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to retail stores.
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.

• Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment.
• Drivers will travel to assigned location, and work from there for duration of work assignment.

• Valid CDL Class A license with H (Hazmat) endorsement. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.
• English language proficiency required to comply with federal law.
• Work the required schedule, at the specified location, complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Associate must accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

• The role requires seeing and hearing; vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
