About the Position
Fleet Mechanics play a key role in the success of Pepsi Beverage North America by ensuring the reliability of our fleet and supporting the safety of our drivers. You will work independently while receiving coaching and direction when needed, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of fleet equipment.

Day to day you will:
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs with a high degree of independence
- Use leading‑edge technology such as voice applications, Noregon diagnostics, Mitchell 1, Uptake predictive analytics, TAAS, and more
- Work on a diverse fleet including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts
- Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary
- Maintain documentation and records, such as vehicle records and pre‑trip checklists
- Answer service calls and support one of the largest fleets in North America
- Must have own basic hand tools; diagnostic, ergonomic, and high‑tech equipment will be provided
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating objects
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Must pass a forklift driving skills test (if applicable)
- Knowledge of gas and diesel repair, hydraulic and air brake systems, internal combustion engines, and preventative maintenance
- Repairing forklifts including propane, electrical, battery, hydraulic systems, and pallet jacks
- Working with computers and software such as iPads, desktops, laptops, Noregon/Autometer diagnostics, INFOR, Geotab, and mitigating equipment diagnostics
- Using Mitchell 1, OEM support tools, and staying current with manufacturing standards and technology
- Driving trucks with a valid U.S. Class A or B CDL, including road testing and on‑site driving
- Repairing heavy‑duty equipment such as class 8, 7, 6 trucks and associated components (brakes, tires, engines, lift gates, thermo‑king heaters, refirers)
- Repairing light trucks including EV trucks, gas‑diesel trucks, vans, and support vehicles
