Position Mission:
To support efforts to achieve maximum market penetration, driving market growth, increased sales and profitability by creating a superior customer experience. The primary function of this position is to expedite the incoming and outgoing freight. Warehouse Associates have various functional duties to include receiving, stocking, pulling, staging, loading and shipping freight. Warehouse Workers are also expected to process and maximize warehouse space usage and any other general duties as necessary.
This position aids in the support of our customers by accurately keeping the parts available to be the dominant supplier in the automotive aftermarket.
Responsibilities:
Checks, verifies and pulls freight for customer needs, performs daily inspections of appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including liftgate, pallet jack, hand truck, radio frequency scanners and printers, operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures, verifies and completes required documentation and reports, complies with hazardous material regulations and procedures, assists in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment at all times, complies with all applicable laws/regulations and company policies/procedures.
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
Must have completed a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education; must be functionally literate (able to read numbers, read/write at a 4th‑grade level); must pass a background check; must work in a drug‑free atmosphere. Must be able to lift hands‑laden freight up to 50 lbs several times a week, push/pull up to 300 lbs using mechanical aids, bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull, and move at a relatively quick pace.
Must work with computer scanning equipment, follow instructions, complete mandatory training, work independently and as part of a team, and possess basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, peer, supervisor and customer communication).
