Assistant Nixa LIVE Coordinator

The Assistant Nixa LIVE Coordinator supports the district's student-run broadcast program by assisting with live event productions, supervising student crews, and ensuring consistency in production quality. This role serves as a key support position within the program, helping lead broadcasts, assist in student development, and maintain operational efficiency across all events.

Education/Skills/Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Education, Communications, Broadcasting, or related field preferred;
  Teaching certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in video production, live broadcasting, or multimedia production preferred.
• Familiarity with broadcast equipment (cameras, switching software, audio systems) preferred.
• Experience working with or supervising students preferred.
• Preferred (But Not Required):
  Knowledge of live streaming platforms (You Tube, MSHSAA.TV, etc.);
  Graphic design or motion graphics experience;
  Experience building or growing a media or broadcast program.

Time Commitment:
Requires evening and weekend availability;
Estimated 20 events per semester across fall, winter, and spring seasons.

Other Requirements:

• Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to make decisions in a live production environment, and ability to troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 60 pounds;
  Ability to stand, walk, and work extended hours during events;
  Ability to travel to away athletic venues.
• Willingness to collaborate with peers. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. Willingness to understand and support District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
