Working 35 hours per week from 8:30am to 3:30pm, you'll serve as a 1:1 interpreter with an enthusiastic 1st grade student, helping to foster communication, growth, and confidence throughout each school day.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Valid credentials/certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young learners

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing 1:1 interpreting services for a 1st grade student throughout the school day
• Accurately facilitating communication between the student, teachers, and peers
• Assisting with classroom activities, ensuring full access to curriculum and participation
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to address the student's individual needs
• Maintaining thorough and accurate daily records
• Supporting the student's social interaction and inclusion in school routines
