High School French II, III, IV Teacher

Primary Tasks & Major Activities

• Responsible for planning lessons, carrying out effective instruction, and evaluating student progress toward learning goals.
• Accountable for creating a positive and productive classroom learning environment.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Engage the learner through novel and insightful approaches to French instruction.
• Implementation of High School French I, II, III, and IV curriculum.
• Serve as French Club sponsor.
• Communicate effectively with parents on student comprehension and progress.
• Support the High School building improvement plan.
• Participate in District and Building Professional Development opportunities.

• Missouri certification in French 9-12.
• Must have a strong knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards and End-of-Course Examinations and many effective instructional strategies.
• Willingness to collaborate with peers.
• Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
