Overview

Position Summary:

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, sales analysis, and assessment of economic trends and community needs.

Responsibilities
  • Model, enforce, and provide direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches and techniques to ensure needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines and standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of and participate in community outreach programs; encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews, and developing action plans to improve performance.
  • Provide direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives; direct Vision Center Associates to ensure confidentiality of information and records.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for Vision Center Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace.
  • Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment.
  • Uphold the Company Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions; coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments to meet customer and business needs.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, communicate goals and objectives, build accountability, measure progress, and promote continuous learning.
