Job Description

We are immediately hiring a Senior Continuous Improvement Logistics Manager (Engineering) in Indianapolis, IN (REMOTE) for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This dynamic high‑profile position manages 5‑6 Engineers across 4‑5 customer locations and requires experience with automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals, including hiring, promoting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Allocate and manage CI resources for multiple complex supply‑chain projects aligned with strategic growth initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a CI strategy, scorecard, and KPI action plans in collaboration with operational leadership.
  • Use data analytics, engineering methodologies, and Lean tools to identify root causes and drive operational excellence.
  • Conduct value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and A3 charters to close process gaps and sustain improvements.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring on Ryder Business System concepts, Lean methods, and engineering practices.
  • Partner with operational teams to implement and sustain lean processes across customer accounts.
  • Report progress to senior management and customer stakeholders through regular data‑driven updates.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with company and industry standards.
  • Implement a corrective action system and oversee regulatory compliance and certification requirements.
  • Support quality assurance for startups, expansions, and internal audits.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
  • Expertise in Lean tools (5S, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work).
  • Understanding of core engineering and data‑analysis functions (slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics).
  • Familiarity with warehouse design tools (AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, Manhattan Scale, JDA, Llamasoft).
  • Knowledge of material handling solutions and automation (PIT, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation).
  • Experience with transportation design tools and HRM systems (Workday).
  • Strong knowledge of goal setting, performance management, and resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management).
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
  • 10–11+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, transportation, or supply‑chain logistics.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (required).
  • cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS, or other supply‑chain certifications (preferred).
Travel

50‑75% travel to 4‑5 customer locations. DOT regulated:
None.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $130,000 – $145,000 annually (based on experience).
Bonus: 20% annually.
Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible).
Remote: Preferred EST/CST time zones.
