Position Overview
This role oversees patient flow from point of entry to final destination while ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service delivery. The position is responsible for accurate patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits. The individual will interact with patients, visitors, payers, and internal departments to ensure complete and accurate financial and demographic information.
This is a fast‑paced, onsite position requiring the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously and adhere to departmental productivity, quality, and service standards.
Schedule- Monday–Thursday: 7:15 AM – 6:15 PM (8‑hour shifts)
- Friday: 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM
- Location: Onsite
- Training: 6–7 weeks or as needed
- Patient registration and creation of accurate demographic and financial records
- Scheduling and coordination of recurring patient appointments
- Scanning, documentation management, and workflow tracking
- Answering and directing incoming calls; assisting patients and visitors
- Working closely with central scheduling and insurance team
- Communicating with payers and patients to ensure accurate financial information
- Supporting departmental operations, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Participating in infection control, safety, equipment training, and fire safety programs
- Maintain CPR certification
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Strong collaboration and teamwork
- High attention to detail and task focus
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to multiple systems
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Cerner experience is helpful
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–3 years of customer service or medical experience desired
- Minimum one year of medical office experience
, or a combination of strong customer service background and education in:- Insurance verification
- Patient registration
- Medical terminology
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
