Material Handler, General Labor
Vaco has partnered with a growing manufacturing client in Noblesville, IN to hire a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their logistics team. This is a newly created position due to company growth and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership in a highly collaborative environment.
You will report directly to the Logistics Supervisor and join a close-knit 2-person logistics team that plays a critical role in supporting operations across the organization.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for managing day-to-day shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy in packaging, documentation, inventory transactions, and internal material flow. The logistics team interacts with nearly every department, so strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are key.

Pay: $22-$23/ hour
Key Responsibilities- Receive incoming materials, products, supplies, and customer returns
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or nonconformance; communicate issues to appropriate departments
- Prepare products for shipment (standard and custom packaging)
- Label, package, and prepare shipping documentation accurately
- Generate bills of lading and shipping orders (manual and ERP system)
- Coordinate carrier pickups and track shipments
- Record shipment data (weight, charges, space availability, etc.)
- Enter inventory transactions and shipping data into ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Route materials to appropriate departments
- Maintain receiving and shipping records for reporting and accounting
- Coordinate international returns (including returns to Germany for credit or repair)
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks (manual & electric), and high-bay lift equipment
- Monitor shipping supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse shipping & receiving environment
- Forklift operating experience (certification not required — company will certify)
- Experience working in an ERP system (SAP preferred, but other ERP experience acceptable)
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation and warehouse workflow
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and support multiple departments
