Compact Cylinders - Assembler

PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to perform tasks to ensure all work instructions related to the assembly of standard SMC products and simple specials are followed.

• Adherence to all department work instructions
• Ensure the respective area is compliant with 5S standards
• Process all paperwork necessary associated with established assembly standards
• Execute basic to advanced workflow tasks on established SMC systems
• Assemble and test standard SMC products and simple specials
• Interpret and apply simple special documentation
• Understand SMC’s part numbering system
• Understand and apply the physical bin system
• Complete inventory transactions consistent with established work instructions
• Adhere to all safety rules
• Adhere to all Quality Management system standards and policies
• All other duties as assigned

• Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to hear and talk.
• Work environment exposes the employee to Noise, Heat, Cold, and Dust.

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work well in a team environment
