Right of Way Specialist

The Right of Way Specialist will support Right of Way (ROW) project execution by performing land acquisition, negotiation, permitting, and stakeholder coordination activities. This role is responsible for managing real property documentation, supporting project teams with technical data, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards. The position will work on a variety of Right of Way projects across multiple locations.

Duration: Long-term Contract

• Perform land acquisition support including negotiations, property research, title review, and survey coordination.
• Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret land and Right of Way-related agreements, including deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
• Research, collect, and organize real property and project-related documentation.
• Translate data from Right of Way documents into the stakeholder management database.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of stakeholder database entries completed by Right of Way field agents.
• Present technical Right of Way data to project teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit permit applications in coordination with project teams.
• Develop and submit project status, technical, and acquisition reports for project teams and/or client management.
• Manage document preparation and control, meeting agendas, and other project-related administrative activities.
• Assist with subcontractor management, including review of contracts, invoices, and change orders.
• Support public involvement meetings and assist with presentations as needed.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities, helping establish critical project objectives.
• Coordinate with construction teams to support permitting, construction activities, and restoration efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, site safety requirements, and applicable standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of Right of Way acquisition, relocation, eminent domain, project management, or real estate experience OR equivalent applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to read and interpret title reports, appraisal reports, and land surveys.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general real estate law and real estate title work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with database system management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle driving standards.

• SR/WA designation.
• Other certification from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).
• Real Estate Broker license.
• Real Estate Sales License.
