What You’ll Do

A AAA Studio is looking for a Senior or Principal Technical Artist, with a strong focus on tooling, pipelines, and cross-discipline collaboration. In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning and driving technical art solutions that improve quality, scalability, and efficiency across internal and external teams.

You will work closely with artists, engineers, producers, and outsource partners to identify gaps in workflows, design and build tools or systems to address them, and ensure long-term sustainability of our vehicle cosmetic pipelines. This role requires both hands-on development and strategic thinking, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders around shared technical solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and develop technical art tools and workflows to support vehicle cosmetic production
  • Act as a key technical point of contact between art, engineering, production, and outsource teams
  • Proactively identify pipeline pain points and drive solutions end-to-end
  • Define, document, and evolve technical standards and best practices
  • Review assets and materials for quality, performance, and consistency at scale
  • Mentor artists and provide clear technical guidance across teams
  • Collaborate with outsource partners to ensure expectations, standards, and tooling are clearly understood and met

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior-level experience as a Technical Artist, with a strong emphasis on tooling and pipeline development
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and drive projects without close oversight
  • Strong understanding of materials, shaders, textures, and asset creation workflows
  • Experience building or maintaining tools (Blueprints, scripting, DCC tools, or engine-side systems)
  • Solid knowledge of optimization, scalability, and performance considerations
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience supporting or managing outsourced pipelines is a strong plus
