The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in ensuring Moonshot’s products move smoothly from delivery to the sales floor. This position focuses on receiving inbound shipments, verifying product accuracy, fulfilling customer orders and maintaining organized storage, and keeping the warehouse clean and safe. Attention to detail and consistency are critical — every shipment impacts our inventory accuracy and customer experience.

Google defines a "moonshot" as an extremely ambitious and innovative project. Though Moonshot Games started as just one retail store in downtown Noblesville, we now have a second location in Plainfield, a Youtube stream Rip and Ship by Moonshot, we host private parties in themed rooms, sell Pokemon and Magic and much more. Today we represent more than just a handful of game stores.

Ours is a place for people without a place. A safe spot to visit, play, laugh, and learn within a loving, supportive community. Yet this dream wouldn't have become reality without our amazing staff and customers, because it was too big to build by our will alone. It was Noblesville's dream, but we will continue to serve our community with plenty more big ideas as we reach for the stars.

• Accept all deliveries through the back entrance
• Inspect each box for visible damage before moving it further into the building.
• Communicate any damages or discrepancies immediately to management.
• Ensure clear walkways and safe lifting practices at all times.

• Open outer shipping boxes carefully to avoid damaging products or packaging.
• Sort and stack items neatly by category or set (e.g., Magic, Pokémon, Board Games).
• Collapse all empty boxes promptly and take them to the cardboard dumpster.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace during and after unpacking.

• Match incoming items to their corresponding invoices and confirm:
  • Quantities
  • Product types (SKU, set, or promo)
  • Any substitutions or backorders
  • Use Moonshot’s inventory system to “receive” products against the PO
  • Note any missing or incorrect items directly in the PO and notify management.
  • Apply labels, price stickers, or set markers where required.

• Move received items to their appropriate location:
  • Sales floor (if needed immediately)
  • Warehouse backstock (for future restocks or events)
  • Designated transfer area (for Plainfield or other event locations)
• Pull products accurately and efficiently for online, phone, and special orders.
• Inspect items prior to packing to ensure correct condition and quality standards.
• Package orders according to Moonshot shipping standards to prevent damage in transit.
• Generate and apply correct shipping labels and documentation.
• Ensure all orders are shipped within established time frames.
• Communicate immediately with management regarding inventory discrepancies affecting orders.
• Coordinate adjustments for modified orders, cancellations, or customer requests.
• Assist with special orders, pre-orders, and customer holds.
• Maintain organization of outgoing shipments and staging areas.

Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail are critical, as fulfillment directly impacts customer satisfaction and store reputation.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes safely (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable using inventory systems and scanning/uploading documents.
• Team player who communicates effectively and maintains a clean, organized workspace.
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or retail inventory experience preferred.

This position primarily works in the basement warehouse with frequent movement between staging areas and the main floor. The role involves repetitive lifting, bending, and walking, with occasional support for other locations or special events.
