Position Summary

Hours Per Week: Up to 19.5 hours per week

Department: Santa Cruz Center - EMT Department

Location: 2021 N Grand Ave Nogales, AZ

Rate of Pay: $19.86/hour

The EMT Training Center at 2021 N Grand Ave Nogales, AZ. Features state-of-the-art equipment for training in Basic Life Support Coursework in Emergency Medicine. Workforce Trainers are needed to assist classroom instructors in the EMT Program.

About Temporary Employment

This position has 4 vacant positions and will establish a qualified applicant pool for part-time temporary positions. Applications will remain active for 6 months to a year and selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Placement in the pool does not guarantee employment. The applicant pool will be refreshed annually. Temporary applicants may be hired for specific assignments or placed in an applicant pool for future opportunities, depending on enrollment levels and business needs.

If selected from this pool of applicants, candidates contacted will receive details regarding the specific assignment and will have the opportunity to confirm interest and availability.

We are seeking dedicated part-time temporary employees to join our qualified applicant pool. Selected candidates will be considered for placement as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Part-time temporary roles offer flexible scheduling and the opportunity to support a diverse population of students in achieving their educational goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide teaching assistance under the direction of lead instructors in the EMT program and classes
  • Conduct training in a flexible schedule and non-traditional format
  • May teach theory and/or hands-on skills
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during hands-on skill training
  • Control and monitor complex equipment and supplies during hands-on skill training
  • Assess and evaluate student skills and knowledge
  • Document performance and progress of students
  • Recommend and implement actions to assist students to accomplish goals
  • Maintain complete and accurate attendance and training records
  • Participate in marketing the program and recruiting students
  • Remain current with emerging trends in assigned area
Job Requirements /Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current licenses, certifications required to practice in the discipline field. NREMT, State Certification and BLS Provider level CPR card

  • Maintain appropriate expertise and competence in discipline field and/or program
  • Principles and practices of teaching, training, and instruction specific to the specific program
  • Standards and trends in the area of expertise
  • Basic principles of training
  • Selection, use, and evaluation of instructional materials and equipment
  • Processes used in an educational institution
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Assist in the instruction of students in a specific vocational area within a non-traditional delivery system to prepare students for employment and/or upgrade
  • Provide assistance and instruction to students on training related matters and training equipment and resources
  • Work with individuals and groups of students with different competencies and capabilities
