Job Title: Elementary Teacher

Teaches elementary students according to State and District standards. Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress, develops methods for improvement, and reinforces classroom goals in the home environment. Assesses student progress, provides feedback, and demonstrates required methods to achieve an effective school program meeting individual student needs. Facilitates student learning in academic, interpersonal, and daily living skills. Monitors student activities for safety and welfare.

Participates in meetings, prepares teaching materials, and maintains student progress records. Reports incidents to ensure a positive learning environment and adhere to Education Code and school policies.

• Advises parents/guardians of student progress to support teacher expectations and reinforce classroom goals.
• Assesses student progress and provides feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Demonstrates methods to provide an effective program and address individual student needs.
• Directs student workers and volunteers to maximize efficiency.
• Facilitates student learning to achieve success in academic and interpersonal skills.
• Monitors student activities to ensure safety and welfare.
• Participates in meetings to convey and gather information.
• Prepares teaching materials and related reports for lesson implementation and documentation.
• Reports incidents to maintain student safety and adhere to policies.

• Assists other teachers in implementing curriculum.
• Collaborates with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to improve student outcomes and curriculum planning.
• Performs related duties as assigned to ensure efficient unit functioning.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and required endorsements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Citizen or authorized residency; visa approval if necessary.
• Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.

Skills
