Classroom Model - Temporary, Part-Time

Rate of Pay: $16.72/hour

Under the direction of the Pima Community College Arts Department; the successful candidate will serve as a model for drawing, painting, and sculpture classes. They will initiate, take, hold, and remember speci?c poses for varying periods of time.

Note:

The location of this position is at the Pima Community College Santa Cruz Center in Nogales, Arizona

The work schedule for this position may include working evenings and weekends.

About Temporary Employment:

This position has 3 vacant positions and will establish a qualified applicant pool for part-time temporary positions. Applications will remain active for 6 months to a year and selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Placement in the pool does not guarantee employment. The applicant pool will be refreshed annually.

Temporary applicants may be hired for specific assignments or placed in an applicant pool for future opportunities, depending on enrollment levels and business needs. If selected from this pool of applicants, candidates contacted will receive details regarding the specific assignment and will have the opportunity to confirm interest and availability.

We are seeking dedicated part-time temporary employees to join our qualified applicant pool. Selected candidates will be considered for placement as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise.

Part-time temporary roles offer flexible scheduling and the opportunity to support a diverse population of students in achieving their educational goals.

• Pose clothed and/or unclothed for drawing, painting and sculpture classes

• Take and hold a variety poses, varying in time from one minute to 25 minutes

• Initiate a pose in conjunction with the instructor’s directions

• Continue a long pose after rest periods; resume same position, angle and facial expression

• High school diploma or GED

• Experience working as a fine arts classroom model

OR

• Interest working as a fine arts classroom model

• Previous art classroom modeling experience

• Being punctual and maintaining an agreed appointment schedule

• Ability to initiate a series of poses appropriate for drawing, painting and sculpture classes

• Physical capacity to do modeling work

• Take and hold a pose without moving for up to twenty-five minutes

• Remember and resume poses after rest periods

• Initiate appropriate poses in response to instructor’s directions

• Understand the look and capacity of their body

• Provide own transportation

• Hold a pose without moving for up to twenty-five (25) minutes
