Job Summary
RN L&D Full Time Rotating Position Summary. Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Up to $15,000 bonus based on eligibility. Anyone traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day.
Responsibilities- Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Assessment: collects and analyzes data about a patient—including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Includes initial assessment, re‑assessment, and focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population.
- Problem Identification: nurse’s clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Planning and Outcomes: sets measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑range goals and documents them in the patient’s care plan.
- Implementation: ensures patient safety, medication administration, provision of ordered treatments, patient/family education, nursing care, and documentation.
- Evaluation: continuously evaluates patient status and effectiveness of nursing care and modifies the care plan as needed.
- Care Coordination: actions to manage and correct the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.
- Delegation, supervision, and prioritization.
License
Required:
Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
Certification
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other relevant certifications.
Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Work Experience: Minimum 1 year.
